I never really questioned why God does what He does.  I guess as a 'church girl' you just don't.  As I sat watching my grandfather in the rehabilitation facility yesterday, I had to ask.. not why, but what? 

What does He have in store for this man? He's 91 years old.  He's lived through so much.  The Depression, poverty, fighting for his country against the Japanese. Coming back to a hometown and marrying the love of his life. Moving to New Jersey and raising a daughter there.  Retirement and moving back to Pennsylvania to watch his granddaughters grow.  Losing his wife and daughter suddenly. 

He's done all of this... The happy and sad with joy for the Lord.  Even now, as he's struggling to get out of be and walk on his own, he bows his head multiple times a day to thank God for giving him this life. 

So, what us in store for him? I don't know. But I know I want the kind of faith that he's shown me.
